I posted this in m-t section because I'm not sure if this is a 'big tire' problem or not.
This weekend I was ripping around my back yard, dirt and grass, with my 3s Granite. I had just finished filling the shocks with oil and given it 1 good shakedown run to be sure I liked 400cst. (I do btw!)

Everything was and still is tight.

About 10 mins into fall leaves run and my left rear tire passes the truck.
At first I thought I was going to have to re-do the antique threadlock on the axle stub (also just done) and admit defeat to @Littlemotor but its held fine so far... 😆

What I found is that the center of the wheel was funnel shaped and fell off around the axle nut.

The hex is a bit banged up but def not stripped.

If you look closely at the edge of the hu, you can see the melted 'thread' of plastic that I am assuming was the inside of the wheel.

I never noticed wheel damage nor is any other wheel on the like this.
Is this something that happens with large tires and big power? oh well?
Is this a wear issue I need to watch for?
I am not above making a mistake upon reassembly. I did take those pics prior to any wrenching and the threads apppear to be similar in count to the rest... It was tight when I started this run. I don't think there's enough axle to put a nut on had I somehow not installed the hex correctly.

Is this a 3s 14mm design flaw or an Arrma thing???

What happened so I don't have to buy new sets of tires to have on deck?
