What happens if someone puts reg gas in the tank

I dont think it hurt it, but I would defiently take it out and clean the tank and fuel lines and probally clean the carb very well. You probally will want to pull the glow plug and flip over the truck to get any gas out of the cylinder. And turn the motor over a couple times to flush it out really good

Run a fair amount of after run oil through it, dithc the plug and and fuel lines. Gasoline can be corrosive to certain plastics so you may have residue from the tank and the fuel lines inside your crank case. I would also consider getting rid of the bearings.

I'd say, open the engine up and clean everything with Denatured Alcohol. Relube and assemble.

You need to change your fuel lines. The tubing made for nitro fuel is not for gasoline. Gas will disolve it, and likely it will gum up the needles.

If it were my engine, i'd tear the entire engine apart including the carbeurator, remove all rubber gaskets and soak all the components in engine cleaner for 24 hours. Then scrub everything down with a "soft" metal brush and re-assemble it.

Pretty much what everyone is saying but to add to it I would replace anything that is not metal. Your bearing if need be, the O-rings and nipples to be safe.Clean all well with DA and re lube.

Just wondering... how old is your son? Or is this someone who doesn't want to admit they did it themselves? LOL!!!

My son is 10 yrs. I bought the t-maxx off ebay and when it came in the mail myson got excited and wanted to run it

i thinki will be cleaning it really good

Dang, quick way to learn a valuable lesson. Stick to the glow fuel made for rc cars/trucks ;)

Should be a good learning truck for him also.

I just thought of something........did he do anything to try to start it, or did he just fuel it up? If he just put gas in the tank, just flush it out with alcohol, change the fuel lines and fire it up.
If he ran the EZ start and gas got into the system, then you've got a clean up to do.

Oh sure you "just" remembered that after the guy tore it all apart and his wife is pissed cause she can't set the table for dinner......meanwhile Rolex is laughing his ass off at home thinking "I could have saved him SOOOO much Time"
