Kinda curious, the batteries in my Venom 2.4 are dying, and before I go out and buy more batteries, I'm curious as to what you guys are using.

The voltage difference is no problem. Alkaline AAs start dropping voltage quickly where the 1.2 rechargeable will start out a little lower but maintain it longer.

I didn't have good luck with the Duracell 2650's and now use Sanyo 700mAh AAs in my Associated XP3D that I use for VRC and a Sanyo tx pack in my Futaba 3PM.

I use the same as Olds. I use a 9 cell pack in my 3PKS and it lasts forever. It has an initial charge of around 12.3 volt. I charge them thought the charge port with my ICE charger....works great

Thanks guys. I have some Sanyo Eneloop 2000 mAh http://www.eneloop.info/products/batteries.html

And some Energizer 2500 mAh http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817173034

I put the energizers in, but the low battery light started flashing. They say around the house for a while, so I put them on the charger. I put the sanyos in, light is bright as can be, so I'll try those for a while, and see what happens.

Olds, the eneloops are similar to what you were talking about in your other post in General.

I use a 3S LiPo in my 3PKS and a 2S LiFe in my 4PK.

Piss on NiMh!

I'm considering going to life in my 4PK but for now I'm still getting great life out of my 1700 nihm pack.

Similar to the tenergy cells, but better and more expensive. Should have looked into it a bit before buying. Oh well.

With the duracells, right after charging, my remote usually shows 11.1-11.4 volts. Then it drops to 10.7 pretty quickly and stays between there and 10.3 for a good long while (hours). I don't think my remote gets cranky until it reaches 9.6V.

I bought a set of the AA Energizer Lithiums, yeah the ones that cost 16 bucks or more for 8 batts. They actually have been a good investment. 4 months old and still going! They drop a lot of weight off the Tx vs standard AA cells.

the energizers 2500mah are not that good ....i found that the 2450 mah performs much better ..i can't even work my camera with the 2500mah ...but with the 2450mah ..works great

Yea, they suck. I got about ten minutes on them the other day. Today I turned the tx on and the light started flashing right away.

Back to duracell throwaways.

I get like 3.5 hours with Energizer 2500's. If your Tx time is not good qith thesw batteries then they have either run their course or have been overcharged.

I get gobs of time on my tx with energizers. They were a tad pricey in my opinion though. My dad bought a duricell pack that consists of 8 AA's, 2 AAA's and a charger for $19 at Costco!

I might get another pack of Sanyo Eneloops. I'm running them in my DX3.0, and they work good.
