hi... i just moved to buffalo from upstate, NY, and i was wondering where are some local tracks or bashing areas? i actually live in kenmore, but still... thanks.

I know there are a few. I have been to the area for the ECB II and the track in Aurora is nice. scotthg1 lives near there as does Darth Racer so they may chime in and give you some good places to hit.

Holy hell you live in Kenmore! We are close neighbors!
Bashing spots eh.... not many construction sites left. Sometimes I hit up the high school p-lot for some speed runs. The closest track is in East Aurora, about a 30 min or so ride south from here. Check out http://wnyrcinfo.com for a lot of GREAT local R/C information.

i was checking out full throttle raceway too. north of me, is it worth the drive? as far as racing, i have never been to a track, but i would like to practice. i'm not a great driver, but i dont suppose i'm bad either. i definately need some local interaction though... new to the area and all.

i suppose, i have to get the revo running before anything though... i need one last piece... the output yoke to the driveshafts will be in at hobbytown next week. speaking of which, are there better LHS than hobbytown USA? just curious of personal experiences...

I haven't been there myself, but Full Throttle raceway will be worth the drive. All of the local racers love the track. You can also check out Glenwood R/C park - http://www.wnyrcinfo.com/site/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=57

Hobbytown is EVIL. You should check out Fields Hobby in Cheektowaga. http://fieldshobby.com They are much better. They have a ton of parts, staff is knowledgeable, and are just more friendly. I've been going there for over 15 years.

FTR is 100% worth the drive...Glenwood is still waiting clearance
I don't think Aurora will be running since most of the people will be going to Glenwood

Glenwood is a go.....

all went good today at town meeting. we have a permit from 10 till7 on race day and will be practiceing on tuesday and thursday from 4 pm till 8 pm
OHH by the way the track will be located on the corner of routes 240 and 39 in the town of springville. formally barchel, now Northeast vintage cycye. we will be in the back. construction will start NOW, and with any luck we will have our first practice on thursday June 29. more to follow I'm shure.

glenwood will be racing on saturdays . track opens at 9am , you can fire at 10am . practice 10am to 11 :15 am . first q will role as close to 11:30 as possible . additional practice will still be tues and thurs 4pm - 8pm . we are fully aware of the conflict with FTR , and we are in the midst of trying to work that out . undoubtedly we will work together and find a good solution for everyone .
