Anyone know if they make a waterproof receiver box that will fit the Tmaxx 2.5? I don't want to drive it through deep water it's more for cleaning purposes so I don't have to worry so much about getting anything in the receiver box while I'm cleaning it. I think I fried one Saturday when I was cleaning up the truck :censored:.

Oh and btw I haven't been on here lately (mainly due to spending time playing with my truck lol) but after receiving advice and reading threads on here I have built a respectable Tmaxx. RD Logics aluminum bulkheads, shock towers and chassis braces. RPM control arms, front and rear bumpers and 3 piece skid plates. Roll cage on the way. Motor saver filter. 3 shoe clutch. Strapped an oversized hump pack to it, (bought it before I researched it soooooo yeah I gave it a try and it's actually working out great) 4200 mah Venom hump pack and a Venom 3000 mah starter battery (yes I use the easy start and so far it's worked great). Next is a waterproof receiver box, waterproof servos, offset wheels, Lunsford hinge pin, turnbuckle and ball stud set, FOC kit and RPM axle carriers. Yes I know pics pics pics and I will post some as I now have time because I can't play with my little ride until Wednesday :(. Probably post pics tonight. Thanks for all the advice and good info I found on here!!!

a little customizing might go into it but a summit reciever box will do the trick

wheres the pics??? if you rap your reciever with a balloon, seran rap or something like that and alittle electrical tape. I have submerged my maxx acouple times on accident and havent ruined the receiver yet. ( knock on wood)

Got busy last night so didn't have time to post the pics. Will try to get to it tonight. Thanks for the idea though. If I can scoop up an actual waterproof box I'll probably just go that way but if I don't think it will work I will definitely use this.

Thanks again guys

I use the stock rcvr box but seal the two halves with a bead of silicone and also seal the wire and antenna ports with silicone. I used leftover copper RTV from sealing the engine. I also sealed the battery box ( i have a hump pack with the charging harness dangling out) When I clean my rig I use a spray bottle with water to loosen the grime and dirt. No high pressure liquids.

whats the best way to cover up wires too, i noticed i have a couple of spots where i have exposed wires, i was putting silicone on my rx box and noticed it, i want a non-electrical tape fix i figured it would go along with this thread

short of tape it is difficult to seal exposed wiring. you could always tape and then use some plastic split loom to protect the wires against future damage and also keep the tape in place. best bet is replace the danaged harness and then split loom it. shorted wiring can be costly e.g blown RX or servos

I'm thinking i have a sort somewhere already when i put my glow igntr on my plug things start twitching or is that normal, i have always had the ez start system so i really don't know

are you running an AM or FM setup? AM is very prone to interference resulting in twitching.
