I got the transmitter in. So I’m still having trouble getting it working. The car appears to be working fine. Everything is hooked up. The controls aren’t working right. How do I set it up to work properly?

Is the system binding? does the controller command the receiver? there are switches on the controller to revers the servos to get them to work correctly depending on what direction they are mounted in a kit. You might have to adjust the trims to fine tune everything. go through the install manual and recheck everything.

Make sure that your steering servo is on channel 1, MSC servo channel 2. Then configure everything through the menu system.

I'm personally not a big fan of MSCs, my first RC had one and it would get stuck in reverse, make sure that yours isn't seizing up. If you want to replace it down the line you can buy a Hobbywing 1060 and you won't need to carry around an extra 4 AAs in the back.
