My transmitter did not come with instructions. I have figured out most things, but I'm curious about a few others.

It's a normal 40MHz FM steering wheel and throttle/brake trigger.

I have figured out the trims set the centre point of the channels.
I also figured out
- that REV is from channel reversing.
- EPA sets the throw each way for the channels, ie. throttle throw, brake throw, left/right throws, mine came from factor were it would only turn left full lock and so I had to adjust so it would also turn right full lock. I also reset the throttle and brakes so full throw on the trigger was full flow on the throttle and brakes were full a little before full trigger. (Interesting, but this could be used to aid breaking in, by setting the throttle to be 50% at full trigger).
I'm not so sure now as there are also % settings by the other 4 buttons, up, down, left, right, they might be what I describe above :S

- EXP.... I haven't touched this yet, both are 0%, but I expect it stands for Exponential and means small control movements give very small output movements and large control movements give large output movements (exponential curve) am I right? Any advice on this?
- ABS ... is this Antilock Brakes? Only works on channel 2 and has "SLOW, NORM, FAST" I will probably avoid it as locking the wheels is good for slide turns :)

The cursor like buttons, up, down, left, right. Left and right set the steering 'amount', up and down set the throttle/brake amount?? Do they?

Finally there is a switch on the front of the controller, doesn't say anything on it, and nothing appears to happen when I switch it. The reciever has an "AUX" port. Is this a 3rd on/off style channel for lights or reverse?

Cheers,

Paul

It sounds like you have it all figured out.
My Tx has a button on it that allows you to set the throttle a little higher for starting, then press it again and it goes to its preset idle. I'm pretty sure it would be in your Aux settings.

That would be handy... what radio do you have? I usually just hold the throttle linkage with my hand...

As a side note, make sure to not set your EPA's any further than they can mechanically go. If your servo is pressing against the mechanical stop, it will be very hard on it and draw a lot more power than it needs to.

It's the round silver push button just to the left of the wheel. Mine is 2.4, and this is the FM, but other than that, they are the same.
