so I'm looking at chargers, and OMG so many to choose from.

so I'm getting the turnigy 2s and 3s batteries for the 1/16 e-revo and looked at a charger and read that it didnt balance the lipos properly. so looked a bit more and apparently this turnigy one does. will this be fine to charge these 2 batteries and has anyone else had experience with this gear?

I have the same charger and it works fine

I have had it for over a year and have had no issues with charging or balancing

I would get a charger thats up in the 150-200W range. Theyre not that much more.

well i found this one

but it only balances 3-8s packs only...

whats the extra W going to do? charge them quicker? ill generally be charging over night so will it make a difference? how long will it take to charge the 2s and 3s batteries?

Congrats on the lipo purchase. They are great packs.

i hope that charger works well for you. i have an accucell 6 and i love the thing, i had to replace the buttons on it, but other than that no problems. i hope for an added $10 it works even better for you.

no i just have to wait another week or 2 till i can order the 1/16 e-revo

ill prob run some cycles through the batteries if i can on that charger. can't remember if it does.

The first charger you posted charges 1S-8S. If you dont go over 6S (most car/truck people dont you could have gotten this Charger for about 7 dollars more than what you paid for the one you bought.

The one you bought is gonna be fine for the smaller packs that you bought though....at 1C it will charge your lipos in about an hour. The higher the wattage the higher amperage (or faster the charge rate if you will) you can use. Its not a big deal if you dont get into bigger packs and stuff down the line but the main reason I mentioned it was because for 7-15 bucks more you can get one of the bigger charges that will leave you room to grow.

Fair call. ATM I don't have much more money to spend once I get the Merv so the next 6-12 month will be just maintaining the two trucks I'll have. In the future I may buy more cars but for the forseeable future I'll be keeping the two I have.

Thanks for the info and thoughts btw.

Also the comments left on the hk brand aren't that great compared to turnigy. Wanted something that was semi reliable.
