I had a used trx.15 traxxas given to me and I am trying to get it running properly but when I give it throttle to take off it kind of jumps as if it were flooding. it takes a few seconds and then takes off like a champ. another thing it does is it almost seems like it is slipping in and out of first gear before it takes off.

Sounds like a rich problem to me. Does it bog down and then take off, making a gurgling sound at the same time? If so it's too rich. You could also have lean bog but I think that wouldn't let you be able to take off like you said, just constantly bog.

it does sound to rich but I have the needle almost all the way in and i am a little worried about running it to lean. I how would I know if it is to lean so I can keep going leaner until I notice signs. What kind of pick up should I expect from this engine?
