Hello my traxxas rustler 2wd transmission went out and was wondering what a good replacment is.?

Two options other than the stock Magnum 272.

With that said, Hot Racing, possibly FLM, and STRC has steel factory tranny gears. They are not cast like the factory gears are, I would avoid aluminim.

It may be a bad bearing the caused this. Last year I had a bad bearing self destruct my magnum 272 transmission.

What led up to the failure? What power combo is your Rusty using?

Perhaps rebuilding is the better option? My street speed Rusty uses RPM tranny cases and TRX steel gears on 2S with a 10.5 FT (4000Kv) HW combo.

I agree with the above response. There's only rebuilding the trans. Not really a replacement for it. Just go with better gears. Instead of the plastic stock gears

True. I just got a bandit with the new trans.
Good stuff.
