tranny ?

I have a question about the two speed tranny in a t-maxx with reverse ...ok so i can spin the shaft that the spur gears go on and i can hear the gears spinning on the inside,and i can also spin the shaft the drive shafts hook and can hear the gears spinning...so here is the ? when i spin the shaft for the spur gear it will not spin the shaft that the drive shafts hooks to, is this normal i would think that everything would spin at once i am a newb to these trannys just wondering if this is normal or is the tranny messed up.

That is the thing it has not been run yet... i picked up three t-maxx's and the one tranny that did spin i found out is a single speed conversion...and i wanna use a two speed with reverse that is y i am asking the ?

make sure the shifter shaft is all the way in or out. does the tranny work when you have it running.

If it's still got reverse,then the spur will free-spin in either direction. If it's converted to a forward only,then spinning the spur will drive the wheels at the same time.
