Truck drivetrain jammed up during the last outing. Rolled it around and got the thing to roll and continued to bash. Got around to installing the MP servo saver upgrad and did the trottle linkage too, both great mods. Fired up the truck testing on the street and noticed NO SECOND gear? Ended up looking in the shift point adjustment hole and saw damage. Uh Oh, time to pull it apart. Apparently the little pin that goes through the shave on the shifter part of the tranny came loose and settled to the bottom. I got real lucky and did no damage that needed to be repaired. Cleaned it up, loctited it back together, and Ill see how long it holds. Seems to be shifting again. Off I go to find the next weekest link!! Anyone else have this pin screw come loose?

Happened to me too. Did you use green loctite on the pin when you put it back together? The other thing to watch out for is the shift adjustment set screw backing out and the thing sticking in second all the time.

Glad to hear that the damage was minimal.

I used Blue Loctite when putting it back together. Green would have been better? Ill be bashing tomorrow, and ill pay attention to the shift points. The dang picco power makes it get RPM so quick anyhow, hard to make it wait very long before second comes in!!! Serious power, Thank you picco!

Just from my experience, blue loctite is worthless for R/C. I have tried it on varoius parts, and it was like I didn't use any at all. I use the green kind, and it holds. Sometimes you have to heat it a tad to break it free, but at least it stays put.

Do not use red on anything. Red is permanent and heat will destroy parts before the red loctite breaks loose.
