there is a real nice onroad too but i forgot the name.

check out showmerc.com and look in the forums. there is a kansas city area and those guys will know where to point you.

where 'bouts are ya kansas side?

oh yeah...all the members from show me rc (a lot of them anyway) will get together and have huge bash sessions that last a full weekend called camp maxx. you can check that out too. i think about 4-5 per year. i haven't made it to one yet but hope to make the next one if a big race doesn't fall on the same weekend.

Thank You Flash For That Helpfull Info.

I'm Located In Olathe.

Thanks Again
TinMan & Myself.

Olathe huh? its a bit of a drive but you may want to check out noveltyrc.com. its a super nice track/crowd/owner and well worth the drive. i consider it my home track even though its about two hours away. turnouts are usually on the light side because of the location, but there is some good competition in all classes. there are two other tracks closer to me (one is only 15 minutes away) but i choose to make the journey because it has to be the nicest track in the mid-west. if you decide to try it out just let me know and ill make sure I'm there.

another track I've been to and like is in springfeild mo. the guy doesn't have a website but i can find some directions if you're interested.

btw- what class are ya runnin?

Novelty might be a bit far for me, just a bit over 200 miles from Olathe. Although, I'm always up for a road trip!

I might just give Pleasant Hill a try though, thats just on the other side of Lee's Summit. Maybe a 40 mile drive.

I've just started with RC's, actually about 2 months ago to be honest. I'm into the savages hard core now though. I'd like to start running some races mainly just to get some drive time in it on a dirt track. How hard is it to start racing? Can a guy just be a beginner and go to the track, find a beginner class and start running?

i think p-hill has a monster truck class and there are no other options for you. i dont even think they have a small block class any more on a regular basis. if you would need help there are plenty of people willing to help you. in fact names would be- mike wells, john taylor, jon shoalmire, chad parks, and steve hale (owner). there are more but i can't think of them. they are a very nice group of people that race there and I'm sure any of them would answer any questions you have.

i did hear of a new track in ks somewhere. if i find the website ill put it on here. seems like it was just south of kc somewhere.

I'm Runin 1 Elec Evader ST And A Nitro ST(o.s max cv-r 15 engine) Like Piston Points Out I Like The Dirt Drive Time And Want To Start As A Beginner. I Dont Care About Wining Events Yet. I Just Want To Have Fun,Race And Learn The Art Of Comp RC Racing.
