what kind of tools do you keep to work on yor rc's. today was my birthday and I have got a little cash to spend so i was thinking of buyin a set of tools, I was thinking of buying either the losi tools or the ae or even the ofna. I know the right tool for the job makes a huge difference . what kind of tools do you recommend?

OFNA drivers - Lifetime warranty, wont get that with the Losi ones and they cost less. Have both metric and standard and insist its the #1 must have tool

Then. battery terminal puller. ( 2.50)

Ballcup wrences ( 10 bucks)

Metric #1 and #2 METRIC philips screwdriver.

Thats my top picks.

I use craftsman tools. Lifetime warranty. If it ever breaks, just take it to any sears and they'll replace it free of charge.

Integy Hex drivers. Not life time warrenty, if i knew Ofna offer that, then I would of got them instead. I get a discount for integy things anyways...

Hudy Set up system
Craftsman Rotary tool, plier set, screw driver set, and other misc.
Mini picks from some low quality brand

There are more, I'm sure everyone has a list, but those are what I use most often. Btw, Happy B-Day.-xmas-

hey does that craftsman rotary tool have replaceable brushes?
or if they wear out can you just bring that back to sears too?

i buy all my regular tools there. like real automotive tools.they are awesome .....i broke a few ratchets(?) over the years and just walked in with it...the guy grabbed one of the shelf scanned it gave me a new ticket and said have a nice day. they rule for that...how about power tools?

Ofna tools are the nicest R/C brand I have used. I have losi my self and dynamite. They are both nice also. I do recommend the Ofnas they will be my next set.
Get a set of metric drivers X

I bought the duratrax tool set and even though they work I would not recommend buying them. They are priced cheap for a reason. ;)

the sears rotory tools has replaceable brushes at least the one i have does

does craftsman lifetime gaurantee apply to power tools aswell?
anyone ever try to bring a power tool back to sears?

taking it back does if you can get some one stupid working the counter that day..

but no it doesn't apply to power tools ...ususlly its 90 days like most places

If I could only buy one set of tools this would be it the OFNA #10823:

It has the the most commonly used metric tools. You can purchase it here: OFNA Tools

I went to the lhs today and bought a set of losi sae drivers to work on my xxx-nt I used them to work on the truck a little today to get ready for tomarrow. The worked great I even remove som screws I thought were stripped with them. I wanted the ofna set that you guys talked about but the lhs didn't carry them so I bought the losi instead. I am happy with the losi tools the performed real well today. I think I will order a set of ofna tools in the future ,I just didn't want to wait on them because I needed them now. Thanks guys for the advice.

ImBroken - very nice tools, looks to be good quality and with a lifetime warranty how can you go wrong. The prices are right on too!

I just ordered a set.

I just ordered a set of each myself.... Glad I helped out...
Keep up the great job with this forum Woodie...

I've used the Bondus in the past. I actually keep a couple in my box as back-ups. Although, I only use them when I have to. The handles on the smaller wrenches make it hard to get a good grip. It is sometimes difficult to get out those stubborn screws. The tips on the smaller sizes also seems to wear more quickly than other wrenches I've used. I've not used the warranty, but it may prove beneficial.
