Tomorrow I'm going out to do something I haven't done for many years because my health
has been at it's absolute worst.
Now that I've lost a bunch of weight and I feel 100% better, I bought new batteries for my gold detector and loaded the ATV. I'm going out metal detecting for gold.
The Fisher Research Labs Gold Bug ll is an amazing detector. It can pic up a piece of gold the quarter size of a pinhead 6" to 7" deep.
Bigger gold even deeper.

I'm sure I could but I use my ATV for that.
They actually make a drag coil you can pull and really cover some ground,
but ironized dirt can play hell on a high frequency detector like mine, so I'm
sure it would pick up a ton of false readings.
The Gold bug ll goes buy sound because there isn't a led display.
It's the highest frequency detector for gold you can buy.
Oh but man, how exciting it is to hit a piece.

I hooked up my Gopro to my detector so If I hit any pieces of gold you guys will see the process of retrieving it.

Wasn't a great day, made it 6 miles from my truck and punctured a ATV tire. Luckily I can lean to one side and keep the pressure off the flat.
I did see a ton of deer, ton of Chuckers "game bird for you guys that don't know what it is, ton of Pronghorn Antelope but just too far for a pic.
No Bighorn Sheep though.
Absolutely beautiful out, 64F and sunshine.

I wish I could be out there with you when you go. I used to go detecting with my dad when I was like 10 years old, and I lived the hell out of it. He was really into it for awhile and found some really cool stuff.

Someone had buried three stashes of coins in our front yard. Each one had about 5 coins all together in it. That was the first things he found when he first got one. I remember his buddy talking to him about his detector. Apparently it was a top of the line White brand something or other if I remember right.

It really ticked me off when he bought some headphones to use with it. I loved hearing the beeps But it was really boring after that.

I lost some too. I can describe it. It was gold colored, sort of looked like a biggish small rock pebble flake.
If you find any like that, its DEF mine!!!
