Todays Story (ER)

Ok so me and my pap went camping this weekend, and went hunting today. We didn't see a thing, so we headed home. My pap took me home, and i got a shower, and sat down to eat. Next thing i know the phone rings. my mom answers, and she starts flipping out. It turns out there was an accident by a restaurant on the highway and my pap got there first and parked his truck on the side of the road, and got out to help direct traffic, and got hit by a pickup truck. So me and my mom go to the scene and he was at the hospital already so we had to go get his truck. So we got it and headed for the hospital. So here i am at the emergency room with my pap back there with an ankle broke in two places, waiting to get surgery. It pisses me off so bad because the people that were in the original accident walked away without a scratch, and there was car parts all over the road.So there's my pap 60 years old trying to be a good citizen and gets hit by a truck. So i'm at geisinger emergency room and will be here all night and mostly all day tomorrow.

I think most of the time people are to involved in their own world, or to busy looking at the wreck to pay attention to their surroundings like they should be.

He wasn't busy looking at the accident, if he wanted to look at the accident, he would have stayed in his truck. He got out to help direct traffic, and saw people wernt paying attention and speeding past him so he was on his way back to his truck, and saw a truck speeding towards him so he ran, and the guy swerved and hit him.

they are doing surgery on Monday and sending him home tonight.

I think you misunderstood what was said or meant...I think he meant the guy that hit you pap was probably too busy looking at the wreck.

Man that totally sucks. My buddy was hit by a drunk driver while walking across the road so I feel ya. Tell you dad were all rootin for him.

He is a good man, he's actually my Moms Mothers Husband so hes my step grandfather i guess you can say, but I was always with him when i was younger. He always takes me camping, hunting, fishing, while my real Pap did nothing for me. He is doing okay, his right ankle is broke in two places, he's at the hospital right now talking about getting his surgery done.
