I have it tuned fairly well, it runs great. However it takes me a LONG LONG time to start.

I have the EZ start system.... I crank and crank. I play with the throttle trim. and I crank and crank. Then I pull the glow plug out to see if its glowing ( I am using an igniter, I have been thinking of gettign a better igniter) when I verify that it is glowing I put it back in and crank and crank and crank.

Once it starts its FINE, but there is no way in hell that it should be this hard...... a pull start would not start this thing EVER.

I have tried reseting the mixture screws to factory ( HSN 4 turn out and LSN flush w plate) Idle screw is set a tad high if anything.

Do I simply need to get a better igniter or glowplug?

Once I get it running its fine all day, if it stalls it starts right back up. Just doesn't like to start first thing. Temp is well above 70 degrees in the area.

Do you know how to properly prime it??? Maybe its flooded?

Why are you using a glow driver if you have an EZ Start? .... IMO that is just one more thing that could go wrong. And I think the video says everything else I could recomend.

My t-maxx AND my neighbor's was doing the same thing. (4908 models though) Hard starting with the wand. His wouldn't start the first day he got it, no matter what we did.

I ditched the factory glowplug and used an OS8. Problem solved.

On my t-maxx, I also unplugged the blue wire for the glow plug and use a remote glow driver, but my neighbor's is fine, with just the wand.

Both glow plugs from the factory worked fine on the glow driver, but not on the wand....(?????)

I was using A LOT of wd-40 as after run oil. I stopped doing that. Problem solved.

That would be, I use a lot and what I do is get gas in the motor flip it so the exhaust port is facing towards the ground and let it sit for mabye a minute or two give it a pull and vrrrrrrrrrrrrm it going.

Basically because the blue wire on the traxxas easy start is junk and usually shorts out soon after you start using the truck. Plus it drains the battery on your starter wand faster.

I found that with certain glowplugs if you use a battery under 2000mah in the ez-starter wand it makes the nitro trucks hard to start...I'm using a 2000mah battery in my ez-starter wand and it has worked for me without fail throughout the whole life of the 3.3 in my T Maxx and so-far through 2 gallons on the Sirio .27 engine thats now on it....I find that the more you play with the wires the easier things go wrong...when I remove my engines now I disconnect the plug from the shock tower and remove the whole unit intact instead of dis-connecting and reconnecting the wires which can lead to alot of problems....I learned the hard way with my Revo..I went through 3 harnesses and two starter motors because of broken tabs from constantly unplugging and re-connecting them..
