I went out to run my truck today and when I started it I discovered that my throttle servo won't work and neither will my reverse servo. The truck has not ever been wet and is only two months old. If I can't find a quick and easy solution I think I will just call traxxas customer service and explain the problem. Any help is appreciated.

Did you make sure all connections are secure and that you aren't getting any radio interference?

Yeah. I just tested both servos and my receiver on my friend's revo and somehow both servos have failed. I plugged his servos into my receiver and they worked fine. Then I plugged my servos into his receiver and got nothing.

Anybody have an idea of how this happened?

Check all the cords for fraying, and take the back plate off the servos and make sure all the wires are soldered securely with no solder running over and creating a short.

hi,I had the same problem and I have checked everything and I have found out that my servos weren't working because I have changed an channel (crystals)
from yellow to brown and after I have change them every servo did not work for me but when I change it back to yellow everything worked perfectly again...

Make sure both crystals are on the same frequency and that the correct crystal is in the correct device. There is a crystal for the transmitter and one for the receiver. The receiver crystal will not work in the transmitter and vice versa.

I know that, crystals were the same and were on their places but they just didn't seem to work for me...

Well I managed to fix my throttle servo. One of the wires had pulled out of the solder. I just soldered it back in and it works fine. I can't fix the reverse servo though, being a micro servo it is just too small of a circuit board for me to fix. I will buy a new one and then if the throttle servo breaks again I will just send them both into traxxas and have them rebuilt.

If you need to buy a new servo, go for a Hitec one (probably a 625mg for throttle and 645mg for steering). Their warranty policy is excellent and I've never heard of one of their products failing.

I would do an FOC conversion of gear box (forward only conversion)
that would exclude reverse and save you some weight but also there would be no need for buying an micro servo...
