Thinking of trading T-Maxx for E-Maxx

I have a T-Maxx with a newly broken in Wasp .18, and for once I am happy with my maxx. It is running great, and it hasnt done anything crazy on me. The problem is, things keep on breaking, and I'm just supposed to have the money to get better this and that so it wont break again. I'm 15 yrs old, I dont have a job, and I dont get allowance anymore. So I was thinking about trading in my t-maxx and going electric....something like an e-maxx or an electric stadium truck. Maybe even the Tamiya TXT-1. Who knows. What would you guys say about this decision? And in your opinion, electric is easier to keep up with if ur on a budget isnt it?

trading your t maxx for an e maxx don't the e maxx is just as crazy. parts break the same.plus you will need a poop load of batterys and a good charger. stick with the t maxx and get an after school job......my 2 cents zandor

Good batteries are expensive. A good charger will run 100+. You can beat up the electric just as bad as a nitro. It's all in how you care for it.

after school, job at 15 very slim chance most the time u gotta be 16 or 18

i say keep the maxx go to some neighbors and start mowing lawns for parts money

I race both electic, and nitro.
Electric "can" get very expensive. here's a quick estimated list of what I have:

2 LRP chargers $340
Dynamite dual 12 v supply $110
soldering iron $110
Lrp Quantum 2 ESC (have 4) $180 each
motors $65-75 each
Matched battery packs $75 Each-----(to many packs to remember)
thats just the start of it...
Stay with nitro, gas is cheaper

mow lawns....sounds like a good idea except...
my one next door neighbor is crazy and threatened me with many names that i can't say on this site, and told me to stop digging tunnels into her basement. She thinks my whole family is out to spy on her and we are from the secret ops or some shitt.
My other neighbor is old, and thats all he really gets a kick out of during the day is cutting his lawn now that his 12 yr old dog died about a month back.
I live next to a subdivision, but its new and they are all rich people with the fancy "star wars type" lawnmowers with the cool handles on the side.
I would mow lawns downtown where there are a lot of houses...but I sort of live in a bad neighborhood. Lots of shooting, killing, drugs, ect. Lets just put it this way, downtown jackson is like downtown detroit.
Any other suggestions?? lol

Other suggestions? Sure. DON'T get on drugs, get on something else....A bus out of town. Then finish school, then get a college degree, then get a REAL good paying job, then have your personal assistant pick up any parts you need for your R/C truck.

already sold all my video game collection, LOL. I'll see if maybe i can get a job at my LHS sweeping floors or keeping the place organized. Who knows

if u are gonna go electric get a brushless emaxx. that would be the ONLY electric truck that i would get. they will smoke a .21 conversion maxx anyday

X_Gamer7...you stated you no longer get an allowance. Assuming you used to, at 15 are you willing to work around your home. talk to your parents about the odd home jobs that neither of them want to do. if just mom, or just dad, ask anyways. parents love that stuff. I know mine did when I was a kiddo. A couple of chores out of the norm or just doing stuff before they ask goes a long way toward a lil spendin money. Finally, try bargaining with your folks. change your mom's auto oil for
$10. My mother used to pay me just to shaddap during "Dallas". instigate a yardsale. i'm sure you could part with some older toys or action figures. what have you..
