I just brushlessised my E Revo with virtually the same setup as Traxxas, and found a few weak points that needed fixing.

1. Steel driveshafts... (the nitro shafts shatter on 6s)
2. When you fit the steel shafts you'll need the extended drive cups too, because the shafts will pop out with extended wheel travel.
3. Beadlocks..... (I have gone through 7 stardard Revo premounts. They tear the tyres off the bead)
With they M/T tyres it will do topside of 60mph and wheelstand at 35/40. Those who get one will confim that.
I run mine on 4s with the M/T tyres and when I want to have some real fun I fit the 6s and put truggy tyres on it.
Mine runs a Neu 15/151Y (2300kv) with the M/Monster and two Maxamps 3s 5000's, and I believe the Factory version runs a CC rebadged Neu at 2300kv.

P.S. If you run truggy wheels get brand name tyres because my Venom pretend Crimefighters separated the foams in ten minutes.......

Buy one, they're a blast!!!! :first_place::first_place::first_place:

An ERevo is next one my list for bashing fun. should be here in a few days. i got one hell of a deal on a basic ERevo from my local hobby shop. they said that it fell off a 10' shelf and its probably damaged. so i said how much. $200. so when i get paid this Wendsday i will have it and report the damage.

thanks alot for this post because i will certainly go brushless and lipo with it shortly after. ill make sure i beef up the week points you mentioned and will report any issues i have with the stock set up as well.

i was planning on putting some 40 series on mine, but if there going to get tore up than i wont. so please let us know what tire/wheel combo will work best with a 3S

hope you have a great time with your ERevo. ill post pics when i get mine as well. and see what a 10' drop off a shelf does to it lol

It'll be superficial only... They are tough as hell those things.
40 series will be fine, just a bit quick, if thats at all possible.
But either make sure you drill holes in the tyres and rims, or go beadlocks........
I'm actually going to look at how hard it'd be to put the Revo Platinum centre diff in the E revo.
That'd be awesome.....

beadlocks, thanks for that idea. i totally forgot they made 40 series beadlocks. and it will be good so i wont need to but 2 sets of wheels for running on or off road. I'm pretty sure they only come in 23MM right? can anyone confirm that for 40 series beadlocks?

i talked to the shipping wearhouse where they are keeping my "scratch and dent" ERevo lol
its badly damaged, so well see how it goes

RC4wd make 40 series beadlocks in 12 and 14mm. But at $230 are a bit pricey.....

Here's to another day of learning something new =] lol
I thought only proline made 40 series wheels and tires.

sorry for stealing this thread but, but I'm trying to stick to the topic about wheel and tire combos for the ERevo. Do you think Maxximizer beadlocks and some proline road rage's for on road and crimefighters for off road would be a good choise for a brushless ERevo. plan on going with a lower KV motor and 3S lipo. i would probably get the 17MM hex beadlocks with the aluminum face plate. and see how much that costs compared to the RC4wd ones, and to the proline 40 series beadlocks

If you're only running 3s in parallel the standard tyres will hold up, but if you want to change them I wouldn't go crimefighters. I'd go straight for a set of Badlands..... Allround awesome offroad tyre.
can't really tell you about on road..... Dont have many of them.
