so we have an urgent job. and my boss is over thinking again. he's overly concerned about a 1.2mm difference on the ID (our part would be bigger). he's called the customer 3 times in a half hour so far about it. still hasn't made the center core yet. iv got flanges drawn up on the CNC but can't cut until i have the center core cause idk what tubing he's using (i may have to adjust the ID of the flanges)
and all this while babysitting the injection molder.

the business 2 buildings over has a huge air compressor outside. when it kicks on i don't like it cause its loud enough that i have to turn up whatever I'm listening to, and not just a little. but after it's been running for 15-20 minutes continuously and turns off, the silence drives me nuts. don't like it. so I'm annoyed by both the noise and silence.

Buying a quiet tech air compressor for the garage is one of my best purchases ever.

Management meetings 2x/ month lasted all afternoon for years for me.
I was never a fan of most consultants but when one convinced the boss that meetings should be limited to 1 hour I could've kissed him right on the lips!

Less than 10 people in the place at 5:30 - cool!
Except the waitress was so rude she talked us right out of ordering without opening her mouth.
We finished our 1 drink and went somewhere else.

Seems like even a robot or drone could accurately locate a package to a permanent address these days. I don't know why its so difficult. I'm pretty positive UPS trucks already use gps to track trucks, locations, speeds... Seems likely it would be integrated into the package delivery system too.

You know how the driver has to scan the tag on the package when they drop it off?

What if every address had a barcode to scan?
This way, even if the non matching address alert on the driver's clipboard computer didn't alert them to the mistake, a record of where the package was actually dropped off seems like a smart idea.

With ppl allowing doorbell cameras and all that, a barcode sticker under a doorbell seems like a reasonable and cheap solution.

Today I got something I bought on ebay, with the return address that says it from Amazon fulfillment services....and a second package I didn't order that also says from Amazon. It has my name and address....but I am not diabetic, and don't have any use for these??

If I remember correctly, you put them in a safe place so you wouldn't lose them.
