Wanna know what i noticed? New Jersey main USPS warehouse sucks!

Earlier this year before spring break which I was going down to Myrtle Beach, I was really on the edge of getting a pair of Truck slick tires for the rustler, New Jersey usps warehouse held it for 2 extra days and didn't get to the house till the day after we left. So I was running actual clay slicks in the rear and worn out basher street tires in the front. It worked so that was a plus.

And I had the same thing happen atleast 3 other times since then, if anything is shipped from up north, or when ordering from AMain Cali location, as to get it from Cali to Bmore, they would either take it to New Jersey and then to Bmore and then to the local post office, OR send it down to DC and then send it up to Bmore. Its messed up sometimes (most of the time)

And that is just strictly USPS for me. Never had any issues with UPS. And rarely have stuff through FedEx. USPS is the cheaper option most of the time I think so I guess that's what you get. I ship out parts via USPS since its more local to me, shipped a few things through UPS before but the UPS store is in the city and its a drive, and traffic is terrible getting there in Canton so I just drop it off at the drug store (USPS inside) and send it.
usps for me is great the south jersey place is fast same with the philly office it’s always ups that gives me issues now

Yea I just posted that edit, I saw some of the slashes have steel and some have plastic, smh traxxas.
I think I bent a few on my slash so I had to upgrade I honestly don’t remember everything upgraded on my slash from breaking time will tell once I get it when ever that happens

Never bent a steel one, but upgraded to their cheaply made and super thin aluminum ones which snapped in seconds. Used to use the old school grey plastic links on my rustler before upgrading to the VXL spec steel tie rods for the rustler, that plastic did not break when I were using them, but it just seemed like it made it flimsy and stuff.

Their budget brushless 4x4 models (BL2s) seem to come with fixed links... while there other brushless models come with adjustable.

Then why did they put steel ones in the BL2s kit and I previously had steel ones with the XL5? (Edit, oh yea, that being 2wd, maybe it does make sense but its not processing in my head right)

They be smokin something in that building. Nothing makes sense.

Separate and new rant:

Why is traxxas putting more plastic in there cars now.
Like the slash now has plastic NON adjustable tie rods. Seriously?!?!
Mine came with steel adjustable tie rods stock and I still use the same ones to this day, they are a bit rusty though.

Guess they just tryin to promote their HD kits and parts now and make people buy more of their stuff.
Apple of RC, literally.
If ppl stop buying up kits left and right, its time to "mandate" ugrades by selling crap rtr with plastic (and asbestos) parts that are DEFINITELY going to wear out.
I'm still sour about the plastic links in my Granite!
Its supposed to be upgraded to handle 3s.
What they did is put 3s electronics into a truck that could handle it if tou replace everything with 4s parts.
That pisses me off.
I already paid for the upgrades damnit!
How much more would it cost Arrma to build tge truck correctly instead of making me feel like the company sucks?
If I didn't own a Gorgon, I'd likely have already sold the granite and moved on...
Still might.

ups shows out for delivery now…. they totally could have delivered the package yesterday but god forbid they deliver a day early
In fairness, if you were out of state until today, not expecting the package to be delivered until today, then came home and found a rainsoaked rc on your porch, you'd be pretty bummed too!
I do get why they do it even though you're right, they could have sent it early.

Good idea. Traxxas makes entry level rigs. 🤷‍♂️ .

I'm gonna stick with Kyosho for my smaller stuff. I'm really interested in the N110 too!
I think Tekno will be my go to for anything bigger although I want a Mad Force badly.

I felt like the way the Granite was being pumped as a V2 3s version on a 2s truck, it was not an entry level truck.
The Gorgon was presented as such and I am VERY happy with it leaving me even more confused as to why they sold this "upgraded" truck with no real upgrades.
The 4s plastic cost Arrma the same $ that the 3s plastic cost them to make and install.
Its clear to me that this truck is not capable of handling a 3s system after only a few months. Arrma clearly knew this also and choose to sell it built like this (3s) anyways.
I didn't feel like I was buying an entry level truck. I don't feel like it was advertised like an entry truck. I don't want or need another entry level truck, hence my sadness.
Perhaps I simply fell victim to flashy advertisement hype on youboob?
Whatever it was, I'm pretty well over it.

You could poney up and buy a decent Arrma rig. 🏁. Maybe a 4s line of rig. :thumbs-up: .I will never buy another traxxas as long as I live. 😆 .
I'm on the fence about selling my Revo and Jato.
I enjoyed the Revo til I blew the trans. I have a new one in a bag waiting to install.
Traxxas business practice is whats killing it for me. I shouldn't let it bug me but putting other companies out of business sucks. This is a small industry with little competition and little innovation.
WE NEED MORE R/C COMPANIES!
Traxxas will always suck for that in my mind.
The Jato is fun but has been sort of useless. I need a football field to open it up and steer it so it sits unused.
They don't hold special places in my heart like it was my first kit. I just don't think I'll get much $ for them so they're in limbo right now.
I won't buy another Traxxas product.

I'm looking for "better?" or different... New Kyosho buggies don't blow me away but I love the old ones so I'm restoring a couple now.
Even with 30 difference, Kyosho quality on my Optima Mid is lightyears ahead of Arrma's.
I guess I just expect once we all learned that metal was better than plastic, I wouldn't have to worry about plastic any more.
Clearly I was mistaken.

I liked the Granite because its still somewhat small.
I race 1/10 scale. I know 1/10 scale and I'm comfortable running a 1/10 scale.
1/8 is fine with a bigger area to run and all but not really what I want.
I feel like 4s is the start of "too big" buggies and such.
There is a write up with a guy who built a "4s" Granite with short (fury maybe?) 4s arms etc so it was still the same, original size but tougher truck.
I might go that route after I'm through with my kyosho builds but I don't know.
I bought the Arrma to just run and bash.
Like if Youboob ppl are jumping these things off 11' skate ramps and surviving, surely they'd be fine in my back yard with a 1"piece of plywood, right?

I didnmt mean to imply brand hate. There are thousands of ppl who love their 6s Arrmas. I feel like I was mislead and am unhapoy with 1 of the 2 products that I own from Arrma.
I am spread too thin. I don't want to HAVE to upgrade my bashers in order to bash, I just want to bash.
Unfortunately, I feel like Traxxas did a disservice to us all and I don't feel good supporting that. I think the buggies they make are quite nice. Its unfortunate.

I get that how ever my porch is covered 😂 but no I get it I also wouldn’t plan for any deliveries either lol

We can dislike any rigs we want to but brand bashing in a public forum puts a bad taste in the mouths of the new guys.
If I were new, I would hate it and wouldn't come back to this forum if all I seen was how terrible Traxxas is.
If you dislike them, then keep it to yourselves.

tekno will be for my larger 1/8th scale for sure, i’m considering the n110 but will mostly be team associated and now (mystery brand) for 1/10th scale

oh and I can’t forget my slash either 🤣

I like my slash I think traxxas is aimed at the beginner to RC market and solidified themselves there and they make more money catering to that crowd and that’s perfectly fine with me no reason to hate them
