T-Maxx Tires on a Revo ?

Will T-Maxx Tires fit on Traxxas 3.8 solid dish rims.

The new Maxx trucks have 3.8" rims don't they ??

My wife was trying to order me some tires I had on the Christmas list and the LHS told her she was crazy, T-maxx tires won't fit on revo rims.

New Tmaxx tires will fit the 3.8 Revo wheels.
Before you spend that kind of money on Traxxas tires and wheels, I'd check out some proline tires. Much better quality, traction...

I wanted Proline tires, and I had Stripped Rims/Hubs.

My LHS guy recomended Traxxas 17mm hubs and solid dish rims when I asked about the hubs on the PE revo. Me, not knowing any better, assumed rims are rims and took his advice. I wanted Crimefighters, but that dream has gone up in smoke like the $14.95 per set of Traxxas rims. Bad decision on my part.

The new TMAXX 3.3 Wheels are sick there almost 7 inches tall (mounted on the rim) you will need a 17mm conversion but the truck takes the wheels perfect. My buddy has them mounted up already and it doesn't seem to take any lowend away at all it still rips.

I just got back from my LHS and he told me AGAIN that the 3.8" Tmaxx tires will NOT fit on the Traxxas Response solid dish (17mm hex) rims that he previously sold me.

He says the rim mounting style is different... Maxx tires would fit my old revo wheels and most other 14mm hex traxxas rims...

"revoracer.27" when you say I would need the 17mm conversion. What do you mean by this ? I have Traxxas #5371 rims

I have a set of Traxxas T-Maxx 3.3 factory rims/tires for sale......... Just took them off my new 3.3 T-maxx. Wear is from breaking it in. Went with Proline rims and larger tires.

14mm hex.

6" tall, 3.5" wide.

$40 shipped and PP accepted.

I'm sorry mad kawi, i didnt know you already had the 17mm. I think but am not sure of, the PE wheels are slightly narrower than the standard MAXX series wheels and tires. If you really want my opinion you should keep the ones you have since they prob work better for handling and traction. Then go ahead and get the other ones with new rims for bashing around..........one thing you can never have enough of is tires and wheels.

The LHS said it is the mounting lip on the new rims... it is different than the old style..

Thats what he said, I have no idea..
