Anyone ever seen one in the movies?

I saw THREE last night. In the movie "The Rookie"...it's a decent movie, true story about a baseball player.

Anyhow...he's walking out on the field to pitch in the minors and they've got one of those in between inning promo's going. A couple of strokes are racing T-Maxx's down the base line and Dennis Quade almost gets taken out by two T-Maxx's!!!

Sitting there watching the movie with my gal...THAT woke me right up!

I've seen the movie but never paid attention to the T-Maxx's.

Yeah I saw those. There is also a sweet looking monser truck in the new oceans 11 where the guy is racing an Identical full size truck then he demoilishes it. Not sure if it was a maxx or not didn't pay attention at the time. X

That truck in Oceans is a 1/4 scale MT...don't know the brand though.

I believe that truck is made by New Era

You'll have to pay CLOSE attention...they're only there for like 2 seconds, just enough time to realize what they are (if you know what to look for ;) ). It's as he's hitting the mound for his first minor league pitch...

You see him walking out and then tripping as they scream by under his feet. The T's actually get tangled up and tumble together...kinda cool.

Hey Retread, ya need to take the mute off of your TV.. :) Listen to those Maxx's and you'll find out that they are not T-maxx's, but instead E-maxx's. :)

I didn't feel like rewinding to listen again...they did sound kinda quiet, but you know how Hollywood edits. If they were indeed T-Maxx's, I don't think they'd leave the banshee scream of three T's in the audio track to disrupt the flow of the touchy feely moment.
You don't really think his pitches sounded like that too do you?

Anyhooo....E's or T's...it's cool to see them in a flick.

That Ocean's eleven movie was great, I nearly pi$$ed myself when the guy driving the 1/1 truck realized he might lose and snuffed the RC! Thats hilarious.

Actually, Retread you just reminded me of something. I think it was either on last Friday or last Saturday evening. I was watching the show on the speed channel called two guys garage, and at the end of the show as the credits were rolling, one of 2 guys that hosts the show was driving a rc that was in fact a tmaxx. I could definately tell it was because it was a close enough shot of it that I saw a good # of the details. It looked like it was moded a bit though because it looked like it had a mip stinger on it because you could see there was a exhaust tip sticking out of a hole in the rear of the body. They were just driving it around their work area and then into some grass. When I saw that, it definatley was a eye opener as I knew it was a maxx when I saw it.
I saw that too, definetly a t-maxx.
