I've come across a dual exhaust, and it looks like it would fit right on the T-Maxx, but i"m unsure. It seems that it would just fit right on where the current stock pipe is, however, the dual exhaust seems like a lot of tubing to push through. Are most dual exhaust pipes diameter considerably larger than a stock pipe opening? I really would like to bolt this thing on and give it a go, but I don't wanna damage my maxx. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You have only one exit port on a Maxx engine where would the second pipe mount?

Manufacturers spend a lot of time and money designing pipes and exhausts. You will most likely get better performance from a proved setup.

Maybe he is talking about a dual exhaust from ebay that are made from some copper pipe and soldered together then chrome dipped or powder coated.. they also make quad exhaust... they exit below the rear bumper, I'm sure everyone has seen these.

yeah and they blow chuncks....I use the slimeline dual exhaust on the stock 2.5....it gives a little more ooomph but the real advantage is it's rear exhaust...put some silicone exhaust deflectors on that puppy and say good bye to 80% of your nitro grime on your truck......the tubes you see on e-bay don't have the correct backpresure or ressonance....they make a hard to tune engine even harder to tune as well......the one i mentioned has a canister that's sort of like the revo pipe but w/ 2 ports instead of 1...45 bucks and it's durable as hell...

Yeah, the one I speak of is copper pipe that's been powdercoated, and the exhaust loops up from the header and towards the back where it splits and exits below the bumper. All the tubing is pretty big. So let me get this straight. It could potentially give me more power, but would make it hard to tune? Does anyone think I should slap this bad boy on, or just stick to the stock pipe? I don't like nitro grime that much.

The pipe that plaidfish is talking about is not the same as the one you see on ebay.
The ebay pipe will make your engine run bad according to them. I have read some bad stuff about them before, and I would not get it.
Plaidfish can tell you more about where to get one like his.

I bought the exaust you are referring to (the copper pipe dual exhaust). I did notice some tunability issues, the biggest reason I got rid of it is that it made my MAXX sound like a wide open chainsaw all the time, and it was damn annoying!

you didn't like it? Iknow it doesn't give that much power but it keeps the grit off the T-maxx pretty good if you use those exhaust pipe deflectors....

Yes it is. But they are almost new.

I still have my T-Maxx but using THS pipe now. So it gotta go.

dual exhaust

i have a ofna .27 big block and i was wondering what kind of exhaust i could put on it.. i was hopeing for a dual exhaust but i have no idea what kind of header or muffler to buy..

I went with the RD Logics straight pipe with the stinger at the bottom. Like you all I hate that crap blown on the side of the truck this pipe exitis out the bottom of the truck.

really?! look at the date people. that was five years ago, I'm suprised you got a reply.

Dont do the dual exhaust dumps. They dont have enough back pressure for the engine. Also you have to adjust the tuning everytime you run it also. I would recommend just staying with the resonator or something in that category but IMO dont buy the duals. It would be fine on a show truck that your just building to show, but not on a truck that you drive alot.
