T Maxx 4908 or 4909

Hello ime from the uk and ime looking into buying a T-Maxx 3.3 but i can't decide wich model to buy. From what i gather the 4909 version is the older one but comes with reverse which would be a good thing for me as ime just starting out and i could be facing alot of walls lol. BUT as the 4908 is the newer version and is seposed to more advanced i would probebly prefer to get that one. Just a few questions does the same size shells from the 4909 fit the 4908 or do i have to get a special size with it being longer as i would like a good choice to choose from as i will be modifying it alot. Also is it as easy to get parts/upgrade parts for the 4908 as it is for the 4909 in the uk thanks. Which one would you guys get if you was in my position.

4908 is foward only which is what you need and its bigger, 4909 is smaller and reverse can strip gears. I like the 4908 but there are not to much upgrades but they will come.

the 4908 and 4909 are the same length and have the same bodys...the only difference is really the forward only compared to the reverse, the tire wheel combo and the color of the body...IMO i would get the 4908

I have to disagree. The 4908 is longer than the 4909.

4909- Length

486 mm

4908- Length
21.213"
539 mm

And they are not the same body's.

ya but the 4908's length is including the wheely bar the 4909's isn't...and i know that there not the same body's stock i meant there interchangable

the body's are a different length but you can make them fit...one of the guy's at my local track runs a 4908 with a 4909 body but he had to chop parts of the body out to get it on there....i never said it was a DIRECT fit

Ok, But the 4908 does have an extended chassis and the revo spec driveline. I would go with the 4908 chappy.

sorry about that i thought that the 4909 had the extended chassis aswell...cause the 4909 is extended over a 2.5 or whatever
