My t maxx Takes about 2-3 seconds to move and then it hauls. Then when I let go of the throttle afterwards it takes forever for it to quit whining, like something is loose. I've messed with all 3 needles and it seems to have very little affect. Just enough to notice but is still bad. Can anybody tell me why this is? I'm fairly new to nitro rcs.

Richen the high speed needle until you know it's too rich, then lean it back to good performance a little at a time.

Thank you. I appreciate the quick reply. Do the other needles need to go back to factory while I do this or just stick to the HSN?

It's really loud when it's coasting. It reaches top speed and has enough smoke it just has an excessive coast noise

Sadly brand new. With all of its teeth. Could my clutch be getting stuck or not disengaging or anything of that sort. I'm completely clueless at this point

Does it do it if you push it by hand, or only at high speed? If you can push it and recreate the sound, try to figure out out where it's coming from. If you can't, start checking for any binding in the drivetrain, or any bearings that may have gone bad.

It can't be done by pushing it but it makes it regardless of the speed. As soon as I left off the throttle. Which bearings would it be most likely do you think?

Your right schrodemode. It's binding cuz I feel it tugging as I push it forward now. Since its an FOC does that mean its gonna be a drivetrain problem because the spur gear won't turn when pushed forward?

What if you hold it in the air and EASE on the throttle? DON'T go full throttle with it in the air, it's not good for the engine.

No it doesn't make the noise in the air but the tires just keep going. I mess with the HSN and LSN and the idle speed screw doesn't seem to really effect the idol at all. I've taken it back to factory settings about 8 or 9 times now and it just seems to want to get gone

Anybody correct me if I'm wrong, but if it does not make the noise in the air, then maybe the wheel bearings are worn and squeal under load?

If it takes it a few seconds to get going then the LSN is too rich.
It's possible the clutch bell has a bad bearing since it will spin after letting off the throttle. If you let off the throttle and engage the brakes bringing it to a complete stop, does it still whine? If it does, it's the CB.

Thank you that's probably it. Would that cause it to jerk when I push it forward or do I have 2 problems?

Factory settings are factory settings, they have nothing to do with actual tuning. I think you should richen your high speed needle 1/8th turn at a time until it runs better. That awful sound could be detonation, from a lean mixture. Do this with the engine warmed up.
You may also a have a bad air leak, which can be very pronounced after the throttle is released. Look for fuel leaking from the engine, and don't worry if you notice some leaking from the front bearing, it's normal.
