I really don't have an issue anymore with the 3.3 carb. I think everyone has good advice, and it works. I set HSN/LSN to factory spec (not running). Then I set the idle by using the radio in brake position and get my paper clip gap. Then I start it by slightly tapping the resonator end (not fully covering). You really dont want to flood. When it cranks and idles good (adjust if needed) I will run it around until warm (no wot) and I listen and look at smoke when doing throttle pulls. Adjust it. Then do WOT runs, listen, look and pay attention to 2nd gear. Then I will fuel line pinch to make sure it idles up before it turns off. Then I repeat to ensure HSN is good and slightly adjust LSN. Then bash it. (If it doesn't want to crank after setting idle, turn over and slightly lean HSN until it cranks) good luck
