Recently I purchased a Tmaxx 3.3 chassis extension kit. I have (had) a T-Maxx 4909, which is the older and slightly smaller version of the new 4907. I took the entire truck apart and then rebuilt it on the new extended chassis. Everything fit great except the front and rear centre driveshafts. My old ones were too short and the new (longer) ones did not fit the Transmission. The yokes that go on the transmission were way to big. Do I really have to buy a whole new transmission to use the new chassis extension or is there some way to modify this transmission to accept these larger centre driveshafts??

Thanks for any input...

sounds like you have or had 2.5 maxx and have the 2.5 tranny. the output shafts on the 2.5 are smaller diameter than on the 3.3 tranny. there is no way that i know of to modify the 2.5 tranny to use larger diameter output shafts so you will need a 3.3 tranny. i happen to have a 3.3 tranny thats never been used that id let go for cheap if you are interested.

Sure to the new tranny. How do you pm in this forum??

If you look around and check your local hobbie shop I bet they have come into that atleast once before. I have had luck with most things I have done but I also talk to my local hobby shop weekly, which helps alot.. And if you have any extra driveshafts laying around try mix and match to get a longer center dont be affraid to shave some length off if you need to I have made quite a bit of hand made peices from other peices that have worked better than some stock parts.
