I am having trouble getting my steering to work while attached to the servo.

I just upgraded the A-Arms, Bulkhead, Shock Towers, Body posts, Shocks and bumpers. (All aluminum now.) Put my vehicle back together and the steering didn't seem to work. Thought maybe it was a weak servo so I bought a new Airtronics 94758z High Speed/High Torque servo. (Just bought a new Airtronics M8 and a 94757z High Torque servo last night so figured what the hay might as well install it all.) Everything seemed to work fine. Ran the vehicle for about 10mins and steering quit again.

When I was putting the car back together with all the new aluminum I had a heck of a time putting the steering back together. (Realized that I was putting the rear bulkhead on the front end of the car.) And one of my screws was missing from the passenger side of the steering set up. So I replaced the screw and continued on.

So my question is: Is it possible to have the steering setup too tight? Everything seems to be put back together correctly. (Still have a .15 Pro that is stock and double checked with it and the 2.5 to see if I put something on wrong.) My steering feels very tight compared to the .15 Pro.

Thank you

Yes, it is possible to have your steering too tight.

- If you put the turnbuckles on the wrong side, that can cause some binding.
- If you over tighten the drag link to the bell crank (that would be the long flat bar that the turnbuckles attach to and the pivot point that the steering servo attaches to), then the steering will be stiff and unresponsive.
- Check for new or freshly charged batteries (if you run a hump-pack). Weak batteries can look like stiff steering. Had that happen today.
- Also, if you put on new turnbuckles with new rod ends, they might be a little tight and can create stiff steering. A little lube would help, but I do not recommend doing so. Could cause the rod end to pop off the ball.
- If you over tighten the pillow ball retainers, you can cause the steering to be stiff.

So, yes. You can overtighten things and get a steering problem.

Well I figured out what it was....It was your last item...=)
Pillow balls were too tight causing the steering to be to hard for the servo to move...

Thank you for the assistance...
