just got my first car a redcat with .28 engine. i went through all the startup procedures & got to the point of starting the engine to do the heat cycling but couldn't get engine started. priming seems to be a pain. i think i might have flooded it or i didn't charge glow plug starter long enough. I charged it for about 4 hours ( instructions say to charge for 8. it didnt even sound like it wanted to try to start. Any tips?

Ahh, trouble starting. I thought you were starting trouble. :D

Give the ignitor a full charge. That's especially important for the first time.
Remove the glow plug, put it in the ignitor and make sure it glows brightly.
When the plug is out, turn the car upside down and spin the starter to blow out any fuel that has flooded the engine.
When you put the plug back in, back it off slightly to allow some compression to bleed off while starting it. That makes it a lot easier. When it starts snug the plug back down.

Adding heat via heat gun/hair dryer will also make starting much more easy, these little engines like to be warn to perform.
