you're pulling the cord too hard...you don't need to go to the end of the pull...if you are hitting the end of the rope you're going WAY too far....you just need to snap your wrist...yes it looks funny but just grow up about the way it looks and crack anyone in the head who makes "limp wristed" comments...LOL

just do what plaidfish said or ditch the pull start and get a starter box or the tiger drive you want.

Ok limpy, is the thunder drive like a tiger drive,or is it more towards a drill start,it may be called a tiger drive in the US but it may be called something differnt in the Europe.

Are you pulling the cord straight out or at an angle making it rub on the starter housing or body? This will fray and break a cord in a relatively short time.

When it does it, can you tell if it's not turning the engine over? The one-way bearing might be slipping, or one of the plastic parts inside may be slipping. Only way to know is to dissasemble it, but be careful not to let the spring loose. If the one-way is slipping, sometime you can remove it from the P.S., clean it with solvent, and it will work again for a while.

thanks for the input you guys

I'm pulling staright out not at an angle .

not that hard just quick little pulls thats all

i may just ditch the p/start and get a starter box dont no yet
