RC Driving Style
hi

i was out driving the maxx today and suddenly, not go, revs, but no go.

so i had a look and i could spin the spur both ways and it wasn't turning the wheels (i have FOC).

so i took it apart and there was the half the pin in the bottom of the tranny.

i got the other end out. its the one that hold the gear on the other end of the 2 speed. the one thats the opposit way round.

is there any tricks as to what i can put in there that is stronger?

or should i get another pin and replace it?

thanks

Alex

I'm certain you can find something the same diameter other than a replacement pin. The last time I lost a pin (for a wheel) I took a cheap allen key and cut a piece off and dremeled it smooth lathe-style untill it fit. it may be hilljack but it worked :)

actually if you use a hardened tool it would probably hold more before it snaps.....replace it w/ a stock one and see if it snaps easily again...if it does look for the reason.....then put a better one in...

ok thanks for the help.

i will see if my lhs sells them, if not its a week to wait for it.

i was also thinking of making a wheelie bar for the maxx.

has any one got any pictures of there homemade wheelie bars?

I have a close to mint tranny with a full aluminum RRP gear set, Traxxas FOC, sealed bearings, and an RRP double slipper for sale. Its ready to bolt in and needs a new home.

PM me if your interested.

unfortunatly that will not work as it has a grub screw on the end of it.
