I'm swapping my engine to a modded LRP .28. (Any break in tips are welcome, so far I'm doing it the Traxxas way with heat cycle.) Anyways, as I was taking the engine out (4.6) I noticed HPI manufactured it with red threadlock, (tougher) it was a ***** to get out, so should I go with the blue (little weaker) or red (super strong)? It's my first off road rig and I don't know if your suppose to use red, I do tons of jumps etc and I dont want anything loosening up.
Thanks guys,

I would not use anything except blue on rc cars. Engine mounts and alot of stuff is made out of aluminium. Red loctite would actually be too strong and you might strip out the thread out of the alum parts.

I've only used blue, and I've been very pleased with it. The red is not pleasant when trying to remove a small phillips head since you end up with the nightmare of trying to remove a stripped screw.
