I have a Savage with X tvps on what looks like 25 parts. I also now have an SH21, how will that perform vs a Savage .28? Just debating for a project I have in mind.

SH21 in a Sav 25?

My guess is that it will be much weaker and you will need to gear it down to avoid a lot of clutch slippage.
I ran an OS21RG in my savage for a very long time. Diffs lasted a very long time (back before 4 spiders were even popular), but power was very limited. I ran 15/52 gearing and that was about all that old engine would pull. Wheelies were rare.
I run a LRP28 in a 1" extended savage now. I can definitely say the 21 did not do the truck justice.
