That include motor and ESC? What mud is saying is the x and xl trucks are identical except for the length. What makes the XL wider are longer axles, the part that goes into the steering knuckles.

The flux has every option part built already installed. There's nothing you can do it but extend it was my point. I'd like to know in the end if you take the initial cost of the savage and then convert it what the cost ends up being.

I already have an MMM and 2200kv motor just laying in a box with no home and I already bought bullet proof diffs to upgrade my stock ones as I mentioned in my original post. All I need is the Kerhaw V3 Direct Drive which is $100 bucks, I think I'm gonna pick up the Robinsons Racing Gen 3 HD Slipper which is $42, The Kershaw Savage XL Extended TVPs w/ extended HD rear drive shaft which is $33, The battery boxes from the Flux (unsure on the exact price those will end up costing me but it seems like ebay has them for less than $20 bucks), and then I'm guessing the extended flux axles.

I'm still unclear as to how you can have longer axles if the arms are the same width? That doesn't make sense to me.

I don't get it either but they're the same. The way I made sure was I looked at the RPM site and sure enough it says they're for the X and XL. Maybe someone can elaborate a little more on this for us. I'm thinking maybe it's got something to do with the way the hexes sit on the axle but I've never seen the XL hex set up.

As for the stock battery boxes, I haven't had any issues with the doors popping open.

These are the extended axle shafts...

These are the axles shafts that come on the x.

And these are the super heavy duty drive shafts that will only work with the bp diffs and the extended axles.

The dogbones that go from the diff to the stub axle are the same length. The stub axle is what is widened on the XL.

This is all you need to widen it to XL width.

Ahhh ok, thx for explaining that bit on the axles. now I got it.

So I have another question. is the front drive shaft from the flux interchangable with the X like the HD axles are?

I have never done it but it should be able to simply swap. Everything from the flux and x should interchange minus the obvious stuff like motor mounts, trans, and tvps. All axles, arms, knuckles should swap no problem.

I do think the diff outdrives are a little different on flux BP diffs than on the X but I dont know that for sure.
