First off, I know it can be done, my question is, HAS it been done? I love the raw power and sound of my nitro, but sometime's I'd like to cruise it around my yard with ease and without neighbors complaining (Can't really blame them). I'd like to venture into adding a med-sized motor to my Savage. I do believe I have the room for it since I have FLM extended TVP's. Basically all I'd need to do is make a mounting plate for the motor so it can drive the main gear the engine drives. I'm thinking I can mount it where my grab handle is, and relocate the air filter, which wont be hard with a little tubing. Looks like plenty of room, and I can always buy an FLM radio box if needed to move some stuff around>

Another benefit to having a motor added is if the engine dies I can limp it back with the motor.

To make the ESC remotely switched I would need some sort of remote relay, or just a remote switch (do these exist? they must with some of the led lighting I've seen). I have a 4-channel controller, so it would def be a feasible task. Any input, advise would be greatly appreciated. I plan on starting this soon. I really miss driving this beast, but it's a pain trying to find somewhere to mob it that's not way out of the city. Would be nice to just sit on my porch and have some quiet fun.

Also recommendations on motors/esc's would be great. She gets wet sometimes, so waterproof is a must. keep in mind this will be fairly budget friendly. Most of my money goes to my real car first lol.

Few more pics of my truck. btw, what is everyone using for bodies on extended frames?

Hey Frostbite, I realise this thread is slightly old, but I think the idea sounds really cool and would be a really interesting project to follow, I do have some ideas for your remote switching for the ESC, let me know if you're still going through with this!
