What do you think of the stock Savage body? What if several people show up and they all have the "Out-Of-The-Box bodies? That would suck. The production paint scheme is nice but not when they are all the same. The should have left the body clear to paint. I'm going to use mine for a basher body. I removed the decals and used a paint pen and added some home touches. I named the truck "Redneck Rampage" with the sponser being "Jackass Flats Racing Products" also put Bubba as the driver and Uncle Elmers Garadge/Gen Store, Goober's Moonshine, and Billy Bob's Posum Burgers as other sponsers.
Anyone hear when HPI is putting out the 73 Bronco Body?
The body marking stuff is all in fun, no offense to anyone. I happen to like the south, I can't help where I was born.

None taken, VA here. You're right about the one and only stock body, but for some reason I'm the only one in my area that likes the Savage. I just dont clean the mud off, everyone else running has a shiny body so my sav is east to pick out:radio:

I hope HPI doesn't piss around like microsoft and wait 3 months to release it (the bronco). I have a '70 in the driveway and would really like a new body for the savage. I have one on BO at the lhs.

Where in Virginia are you located Error401? Hampton Roads here.

Also, you can use just about any 1/10 scale body you desire on the Savage. You just need to poke the holes for the body posts in the appropriate location. As for the stock body only coming in one style, if that is the only problem you have with the Savage...then I'd say HPI has made themselves a great truck, and that this should be an easy fix given enough feedback. Go to their site and give them that feedback. I know I already have.

Roanoke, Sky. The scene here is OK. Two tracks and a few spots to bash in. I'm planning on investing in a Picco 26 next, the body can wait, I'm a bit rough on the paint. The savage is a great release from stress (job thing). Most of the time I just want to shred up some dirt and tear sh*t up, makes me feel better. To all the guys on here that have the Al hop-ups I say cudos. All of them look great and would be nice to own, but I know what would happen if I had one of them, it'd get f'd up in a hurry or would sit on the shelf. I run in some pretty hairy places with lots of suicidal rocks (ones that jump at your truck) and I love to jump (but am still learning to fly trucks). When the old body finally gives up the ghost and won't take anymore fixin I'll get a new one. I'll probably get the bronco or the humvee (not the H2).

I'm seriously thinking about the Escalade body. I could whip something nice on it. Lots of room for good poop! Now if only I could make some 'Piss On (guess)' vinyl guys so I can paint it on.

:ninja:

At lease HPI had the forethought to make it possible to use T-Maxx parts (wheels, tires & bodies). I almost bought a HPI RS4 SS 911 body for the savage, that would look too cool, but the lexan was kind of thin for the application. I have a pix of a 959 rally edition (prototype) and it looked cool. Too bad Parsche didn't stick with WRC competition.

I bought a '57 Chevy Pick-Up body for the Savage. Painted it Teal, put white plastic plugs in for headlights (better than decals), detailed vents with perminent black marker and highlighted the bed ridges with gold paint pen. Added a few sponder decals at fenders like a race car/truck and a small Savage decal on each rear fender. Turned out pretty nice. The good part is that it already took the first rollover or two so the initial scratches are over with. Not a complete basher body but not to be babied either.
Rain, Rain, Rain.....This sucks!
