I have a HPI Savage. Last year I got a problem with it and have only just got round to fixing it today. I've sorted the problem but not my engine won't start, it appears that the roto start is struggling to spin round as it gets too hard for it. I *think* the possible cause could have been that I foolishly didn't clean the engine last year and there may have been fuel still left in so I'm thinking this could be the cause.

Is there any way to sort this or am I likely to have knackered the engine?

Cheers

Thanks for the reply! What's the best thing to do then if rust is the problem?

Not too sure. I always put after run oil in the motor after using it to displace moisture.

I think your engine is flooded. Hold the fuel line and try to start the engine. Once it starts let go of the fuel line. That should help. If not, clear it out by removing the glow plug, turning the Savage upside down, and putting the roto start in to let the excess fuel out.
