savage 25 radio box problems

I know that the radio box on the 25 has been known to be a pain in the @$$ to work with, but i was wondering if there was any way to "orginize" it or make it more accessible. I just replaced the batteries in my truck and I can't seem to get the cover to fit on right. I've tried moving all the wires out of the way but something is stoping the cover from coming down all the way. Please help. (pics would be nice)

Get the radio box for the Savage X and call it a day.

Are you using Alkaline batteries? If you are I would invest and get a rechargeable hump pack, get a switch with a charge jack and let the jack hang out. I will try and dig up a pic of what I am talking about.
