She currently held the women's land speed record of 398 MPH and was trying to better it at the same place in Oregon when something went dreadfully wrong. She was such a ray of sunshine every time she guested on those shows. She was also on Jay Leno's Garage.

EDIT: I corrected some inaccurate info. Her best was 398 and not 440. She was going for 512 when things went wrong.
