why do they say it takes a load of work to make the the rs4 go over 50 or 60????? i dont understand just need a good engine and 2 speed... what else??

and dont forget proper tuning.....thats a load of work right there!

a good engine a two speed would let the RS4 go 60mph, but due to poor suspension geometry, and lack of tuning ability - it would constantly spin out and be impossible to control. IAlong with that, the drivetrain in the RS4 is designed to handle sport engines, not the hi power race engines that would be required, gears would melt, driveshafts would break, ect....if you stuck a Formula 1 engine into a Hyundai Accent, would it go 150mph? probably, but it would either disinegrate the drivetrain, or be impossible to control, right?

i have to agree with you but.... I've had 3 rs4 2 have had os .15 and the 3rd will soon have the RB concept but I'm pretty sure the 2 with the os engines and 2speed and some other things goes over 50 or 60 and I've never had any problems.... so i sortof disagree with you.. but tell me a car that is ment to have a high performance engine in it??

The drive train and suspension tuning are issues are ones that can be fairly easily dealt with. Put cvds in it, adjustable turnbuckles, a good set of tires. Add a good engine pipe and two speed and the car is a great car. It may not be a "competition" level tc, but it is still a great car for parking lot bashing and racing. I have had a lot of fun with mine.

paul - i consider the OS a sport engine. referring to race engines, i mean the Rody V12, JP Racing S3, Paris NRS3, Mugen Collari MR12, Novamega MS12 - as far as top notch racer cars? Mugen MTS3, Trinity Reflex, Serpent 705/710, Team Magic G4, ect...

well remeber for me this is just a hobby so its not like I'm going to go into racing soo the rs4 is just fine for me.....
