The revo I have is about 4 yrs old it's one of the first 3.3 that came out. The problem I'm having is it will not keep running when I accelerate. It idles fine for as long as I leave it alone! I have set the Lsn and hsn back to factory settings. I have an excessive amount of smoke coming out. And my temp is going up to 206 at idle. What should I do???
As soon as I start to take off boom... It shuts off........

I completely agree. A rich mixture will help keep your hobby cooler; however, excessive smoke is clearly an indication that your hobby is running way to rich. You should have a steady (NOT HEAVY) stream of light blue smoke. Also, ensure you fuel line is clear and the vacuum line is clear, that is the line between fuel tank and your resonator. Also, have you've been consistent with the percentage of nitro your running tank after tank. With my REVO 3.3, when I run it to rich, either of 2 things have happened: I can't get the 'runner' to kick into 2nd gear OR it stalls out on me. I also tend to run my model around 235-250F. I've heard you can push it up/around 265-270F, but this is very lean and you risk overheating or causing some sort of motor damage especially with the connecting rod.

Just a few things to look at is the oring for the fuel tank or even try the rebuild kit for the fuel tank. And make sure your getting a good seal on your exhust with plenty of pressure to your fuel tank. A good way to test your tank is take of the line at the pipe and lightly blow into it and you should get some back pressure. Or the cluch bell poped the spring and is locking up on you. Just put my two cents in from what I kust had to do to my revo.

try setting your lsn to 1 and 3/4 turns out from tight and your hsn to 4 turns out. this setting works prefect for my truck.

Fescue:

What works on your truck may not work on his due to a number of factors such as temperature, humidity and elevation. It's best to start at factory settings and tune for performance after break-in.
