i was taking my tires off the rims tonight and realized that two of my rims were cracked. i was kinda disappointed because now i'm going to have to buy new rims. has anybody else had the same problems with their rims?

I think that is normal for a relatively small size stock wheels. If you are going to bash hard, I suggest 40 series or get yourself a aluminium or titanium. I never use the stock wheels as I took it off the first day and put 40 series from my maxx on it.

I have broken stock wheels in the past however it has always been my fault.
In general hitting things isn't good for any wheel and will cause them to brake. There are tuffer wheels on the market if breakage is an issue. RPM makes so great Stuff.

As for going to 40 series, I don't think that will help the braking issue, they look great but don't think that is the answer. Alloy wheels will brake more easily than a plastic or nylon wheel. They have a great cool factor gut they aren't necessarily stronger during impact then others are.

My suggestion is to quit hitting things.

I went through 3 sets of PLASTIC rims and they all cracked so i just purchased aluminium rims and i hit stuff REALLY HARD with them and they take the abuse so far...

i plan on getting another set of rpm rims. i like the ones i have now on my other set of wheels, there are tough and look really good.

It also depends on the design of the aluminum rims, and if they are made of high quality aluminum. I've sold a load of Viper and Sidewinder rims, and only had to warranty a few for damage. That was mostly to people jumping off buildings to make videos.

People return wheels they broke jumping houses and expect a replacement?
I would assume they understand thats the price you have to pay for great video footage.

Sometimes I like the videos and the way they promote the hobby. BIG RC is one of those groups that makes a good G rated video, so I sponsor them.

Here is the trailer -- BIG RC

RAMTech-RC, I was looking the 40 series on yours site. To be honest, they looks cool but way out of my budget :)

May I should get one and beat the hell out of it huh?

Those are the least expensive rims you'll only have to buy once. I tell people to add up thier rims, and tell me how much they paid. Mine are worth the extra buck.

mine are at the top inside of one rim and the spokes of another. the one at the spokes actually goes right into where the bolt goes to fasten the wheel to the hub. gonna try crazy glue and put it on the rear so i can use it today.

Same There. I want some aluminum wheels, they are on my christmas list. And if not, might just have to talk to Mr. Ram-tech.

Just remember to ask fast after Christmas. My prices will go back up after January 1st, by about 20%.

super glue worked for temp fix, i went out snow/ice bashing tonight (busted a-arm though when sideways into curb at about 20mph) hehe was sooo fun drifting the truck...the bam sound wasn't so fun, oh well, had extra's 2min fix for a-arm.

thanks for the heads up as well, gonna have to serious look into funding for those.

The Iron Cross rims have a 3/8 offset, so they will fit no problem. The Viper and Sidewinder will fit, as long as you don't use the long travel rockers.

The 40s are no problem as well.
