When rebuilding the diffs what type of lube do i use between the ring and pinion gears? It felt like there was some heavy grease on there but i dont know if it was diff fluid that leaked out.

just a dab of bearing grease on the gears is ok ...not to much ...just needs to be coated ...thats what i red somewhere ...and thats what i did to on my revo

I use a lithium grease.

I generally smear the grease on the ring gear using my finger (ooooerrr that sounds soooo wrong !), with enough to coat the tops and half the depth of the teeth. No need to put any on the pinion as it will ride through and spread the grease on the ring gear (which i know moreas the "Crown wheel" than ring gear) then put it all back in and away to have some fun.
