I run mine with proline paddles in the rear and ribbed on the front,
i have a FOC trans and i have not had any drive line issue's

with the paddles on the rearthe fronts stay up in the air dont stay planted anyways

Just my $.01 (because its not even worth the full two cents lol)
if you are running it on terrain that will yield underneath it (sand), you should be able to get away with different sized tires. Instead of burning up your gear, one axle should spin faster than the other and only one will really be effective in the sand.
its like driving a truck with a solid axle on road vs. off road.
But if you have different sized tires (paddles in back, and just a simple wedge tire in the front) 4wd is useless because the wedges will not get traction anyways and are only good for pointing your car in the right direction.
Just a theory though.
