I know this question has been touched on, but I couldnt find the thread..

I bought a Rs4 on ebay and it came with 3 lids. The paint is really bad on them and looked like a drunk guy painted them with a paintbrush, There chipping and just plain old look like ass.. So what I was wondering is if theres a way I can remove the paint? There is no backing on the paint, and it looks like it could be rather simple.. Any suggestions? The bodys are in OK shape, except for the fact that the moron CUT OUT all of the windows... (Moron) But anyhelp would be appriciated. Thanks guys!

Sorry but DA will just clean the grease off. There is a panit remover for RC bodies. Can't remember what it is called or the MANF. Anyone help us out?

I have not heard of any good ways without ruining the outside finish. DO NOT try acetone! It will mar the outside finish. Sorry a MORON owned them before you. :horsecrap

There is an actual spray you can use. I will keep diggng. Something like*spirits* or *mineral* something?

I'll save you all from the long read.
It's called "ELO"
(easy lift off) paint remover made by Polly S. Part #552144
I use it all the time.
Smells like poop, but works great.
Your best bet is to let it soak (if the paint is old) and brush it off with an old tooth brush.
Use plenty of ventilation.

Where did ya get it? Ill have to check out tower and see if they have it.. Thanks again Ratzo! And ill be sure to put on the mask..lol

I bought it at my LHS.
I'm sure if you go to yahoo and type it in, you'll find some place that has it.
Your welcome.

ok, cool. thanks again.. Tower has it but its on back order... What else is new..lol

lol, tower seems to have everything on back order. Try order some pro-line tires, you'll see what I mean :/

Polly S brand is used a lot by model train painters. Would not hurt to try a few of those shops. I know model trains are more popular back east so you might want to search for them.

Also, "Micro Mark" sells a lot of paint removal stuff. I buy a lot of modelling tools from them.
