redcat eathquake starting issue

so here is my issue i used to be into nitro stuff years ago but been sort of forced back into the hobby because of health issues (like working of full sized tucks and cars). so to shorten this up here is my issue. i got a used redcat earthquake it was a running rig but electrics were shot so i switched em out for the traxxas 2.4 2channel setup and figured i would give it a run so the first time i try to start this thing since the old owner had it i rip the damn pull cord out having a hpi savage and some spare parts lying around i put a roto-start set up on it and now it wont run i am wondering if the roto-start is spinning the redcat engine the wrong way or if i set the carb wrong seemed like it was running like butt when the other guy had it blowing fuel out the exhaust so i tried to lean her out maybe carb setting is off i thought that if it was spinning the wrong way that it wouldn't turn the engine over that the one way bearing wouldn't allow it i.e. free spin but the engine is turning over however its not popping or starting at all anyone have carb setup diagram or can shed some light on this subject?

Check your OWB (one way bearing) and make sure its on correctly, will the motor spin over at all? I'm pretty sure all the engines turn counter clockwise, i may be wrong as i have been limited to different makes of RC,you should be able to go the redcats website and get the factory settings on the carb, what i found from the redcat website the hsn should be 2 1/2 turns out after break in, they dont really give a lsn setting.

thanks, going to take a look after an appointment today and try to get this running still waiting on some parts for my hpi so guess i'll tinker with this junk well let you know how it works out.

so it didn't work out at all actually i tried to tune/get running and in the process ripped the pull cord out of it then put a roto start on it and killed the batts trying to get it running properly. I have decided that i am going to take it to the shop and get it tuned by them and i am going to get a refresher on nitro tuning 101 lol. thanks for the help guys. new to the site and gotta say this place rocks!!!!
