Hey guys. This forum has so many neat things going on, just had to get into the fray. Here is the present workbench project. RC10T2 roller bought off Ebay. Unboxing is a lot like a box of chocolates. Never know what you are going to get...and so it begins...

Came packaged with all these paper bags as padding. Figgered they might come in handy, so flattened them all out for later while contemplating what was in the box.

More to come as the project progresses. Cheers and Regards. 'AC'

Fun project. Be sure and post some pics when she is done...

Hey guys and gals,
Been slogging along with the build, among other things. Slow, but steady progress. First off, checked for body fit before sending the body out for paint. Neither of the two RC10T2 bodies fit the wheelbase. Looking closer, apparently it is an aftermarket chassis with an adjustable wheelbase. Of course, my luck, it was built LWB and holes for SWB were never drilled. So off comes the front clip, screw the chassis down to a 2x6 block of wood and drill the holes for a SWB chassis.

Of course, no change ever goes without causing another issue, and so it went, one by one the issues were overcome and the chassis went back together and both of the bodies fit as they should.

Along the way had to find a place to fit the steering servo, so, again out comes the 2x6 drill block and holes get drilled for a standard servo with RPM mounts. Oh, and along the way scored a set of RC10T2 3-piece FR wheels that got fit up.

Body is now sent out for painting. Time now for a radio and power unit. More to come. Cheers. 'AC'

Monthly update on progress. Installed the power unit. Reedy 540-FT 17.5 with companion Blackbox 600Z ESC. Scored a pair of Gold rear springs off Ebay, so those are back to OEM now. Had to fabricate an antenna mount for the Spektrum SR410 receiver. Used a nylon steering block out of the pit box. Believe that if you will. But works, so o.k.

Finally gave in and did an Acetone soak to seperate the RR tires from the rims. Had a set PL closed-cell inserts to try. Never used those before. Kinda pricey. Not sure how they ended up in the pit box. Mounted the tires and inserts to the rims, but did not glue them. Still holding out to the last for a pair of AE 3-piece RR wheels. Fronts show up on Ebay from time-to-time, but as yet to see a pair of rears.

Wait for the body back from the painter continues. Rocco said he was real busy paining bodies, and that was last of February. He does good work, and am in no hurry. Still anxious, though, to get it and fit it. That's all for now. Enjoy. Cheers. 'AC'

Hey RCTalkers,
She's beginning to look like a race truck. Body arrived from the painter, RC Bombshells. Had Rocco paint this up in his standard 'Walker Evans' paint scheme for ST's. Now for stickers, a racing number and a test session. Then she be ready for the next scheduled quals on the backyard grass track. Cheers. 'AC'
