Been wanting to do this but taking the time to get footage and edit stuff is not easy. Now that we are "settled in" with our situation, I decided to give it a go on our last list race. I didn't get anywhere near the footage I wanted, only got the starting line shots. No drone shots because it was windy, then raining. The few rear-view shots we had were all shot with the wrong perspective, so I didn't bother with them this time. I'm also pretty stiff as a narrator, but I'll get better I hope, lol.

It's probably better that you only see the starting line, as actual full-on passes were very few. These were easily the worst conditions we've tried to race in, but what are you gonna do besides send it? Pack up and go home? Hell no. I will say though that the rain gave us a chance to see what the new power broom could do with water, and when the track did dry at the end, we started making some better licks. It was a tight window though as it was incredibly humid and as soon as the sun got low, the track got slippery again at the very end.

It's just a short 15 minute thing this time mostly due to a lot of missing guys from the list due to health, work, weather, traffic. Kind of a doomed day from the start. I also struggled with the production portion, but now that I've kinda got the hang of it, the next one will be vastly better produced and narrated.

Definite improvements all around. Great job putting the vid together!
The footage from behind the drivers, so driver, tree, car and track... that footage was pretty great!
No guilt showing a bad crash up when no one gets hurt too! lol!
You need an announcer guy with a lot of echo and reverb... SUNDAY sunday sund... R/C NITRO CARS UNDER THE STARS stars sta...
I spent some time running a few cars in Cali, Barona Speedway. This video reminds me of the track back then.
Your car is flying! Looks like the one to beat... better watch out!!!!

Thanks for posting this!!! 👍🏻

Finally got E3 finished! This one I think was the best production so far, still a ton of room to improve, but I like a lot of the footage we got.

It's really cool you're turning it into a show 😁

At long last, Episode 4 is out. This took a long time not because it was extensive, but because I was distracted by my V8 build, and mainly because my daughter was in town and took over my computer for six weeks! It's a shorter episode. We didn't get much footage because we were laser focused on the final list race. There are however some really nice, close races, and fast passes in this.

Just curious, why only a nitro belt?
I'd be STOKED if I ran 3rd with those guys!!! 😎👍

Because we are a nitro club/team first and foremost and are trying to grow that segment as much as possible. We have had quite a few conversions so far once they got a taste.

Now I'm looking at the mini-V8 potential with the prices coming way down for these engines. IMO that's a segment that could explode in popularity once a blueprint is achieved. It's certainly a little less accessible and pricey than brushless or nitro, but it's not all that far off. Now the tuning and difficulty level might be significantly higher, but I sense a good amount of the brushless guys are interested in the challenge.
